Transformer bushings are extraordinarily fragile porcelain-and-oil assemblies. We remove them (if transport-dismounted type), individually pack in custom foam cradles with VCI wrapping, and ship separately in shock-dampened crates. Windings inside the transformer tank are protected by maintaining oil level (for oil-filled units) or by flooding the tank with dry nitrogen gas to prevent moisture absorption by cellulose insulation. Silica gel breathers are sealed shut to prevent atmospheric moisture entry.
Yes. We have packed and shipped transformers and industrial boilers exceeding 200 tons. For ultra-heavy loads, we fabricate custom steel transport frames with hydraulic jacking points, coordinate with heavy-lift crane operators, and plan multi-axle hydraulic trailer movements to the nearest port with ro-ro or heavy-lift vessel capability.
We deploy internal VCI fogging — a process where VCI vapor is injected into the sealed vessel through a nozzle opening. The vapor condenses as a molecular film on all internal metal surfaces, providing corrosion protection for 18–24 months. All external nozzles and flanges are sealed with blind flanges and VCI-treated gaskets. The entire exterior is then wrapped in aluminium barrier film with desiccants.
