Separate equipment condition from the packing method

The survey records scale, oil, process residue or abrasive contamination; exposed shafts and bearing seats; fluid status; dimensions; mass; centre of gravity; approved lift and restraint points; and the plant exit path. Cleaning, isolation and transport-safe release follow the owner's EHS and equipment procedures.

Long frames, mill auxiliaries, presses, fixtures, motors and panels are assessed as individual transport units. Supports and restraints use verified structural and carrier data. Moving elements are secured only in manufacturer- or owner-approved positions, and dismantled parts can be match-marked for receiving sequence.

Confirm storage and onward transport

Road, rail, container and breakbulk movements can require different handling access, enclosure strength and package divisions. Expected staging, storage and exposure are recorded before VCI, barrier film, desiccant or another compatible preservation method is selected.

For international shipments using regulated solid-wood packaging, treatment and marking are specified to the destination's applicable ISPM-15 requirements. Processed-wood materials may be exempt, subject to destination rules and customer specification.

The BENZ work package covers the surveyed preservation, transport supports, crate or skid, marks, closure record and agreed load-out support. Its responsibility schedule separately identifies dismantling, lifting, heavy transport, permits and installation providers.
