Fix the plant and cargo interfaces first

The survey records equipment dimensions, mass, centre of gravity, base and support geometry, approved lifting and restraint points, fluid and cleanliness status, open interfaces and sensitive surfaces. Doorways, aisle turns, floors, docks, cranes and staging areas are checked before package divisions are approved.

The originating plant certifies the drain, clean, isolation and transport-release state under its own EHS and equipment rules. Long frames, rotating equipment, electrical assemblies and vessels are given separate support and preservation methods; moving elements are secured only in approved transport positions.

Plan the inland and terminal handovers

The confirmed road or rail leg, container or breakbulk format, terminal handling, storage and receiving-site limits determine structural clearances and inspection access. Additional lifts or outdoor dwell are included only when documented in the project or carrier plan.

VCI, barrier film and desiccant are selected from verified exposure, duration, surface condition and material compatibility. For international shipments using regulated solid-wood packaging, treatment and marking follow the destination's applicable ISPM-15 requirements. Processed-wood materials may be exempt, subject to destination rules and customer specification.
