Precision Machinery Packaging in Jurong and Tuas

Jurong and Tuas halls move machining centres, test equipment, control cabinets and related plant in air that stays humid year-round. A crate that waits at the terminal, or is lifted again during a restow, is a different specification from a same-day stuff. BENZ mobilises project teams to those halls to survey the cargo and pack it there.

Dust, humidity and a second lift

Open cabinets take mill dust on the floor. Year-round humidity wets unpainted ferrous overnight. If a restow is confirmed in the booking, the cover has to survive a second crane, not only the factory lift. The survey records cleanliness of the hall, photographs of cabinets and bases, expected terminal time, and the handling that is actually booked. Preservation is written after those facts.

Electronics and control racks are candidates for a sealed wrap before timber is cut, so shop dust does not travel with the cabinet. Ferrous frames still take VCI where bright metal is exposed. Electronics and exposed ferrous equipment are packed separately where their cleanliness and corrosion-control requirements conflict. Whether a full barrier and desiccant belong in the pack depends on dwell and whether the box will sit in Tuas air. A compact load that stuffs the same day into a dry receiving hall may need less. That is a survey call.

Aisle width, dock height and floor loading set crate size as much as the machine does. Fork pockets and lift points are checked against the handling that is actually booked, including a terminal restow when that is known.

Mixed lots in one park

A Jurong or Tuas move often includes a CNC or grinder, panels, and test gear in the same window. Each equipment class follows the preparation and protection procedure agreed during the survey.

If the receiving hall is a controlled space, the outer wrap should come off without shedding timber fibre onto the cabinet. That is a packing-design note, agreed on survey.

Useful information for a quote: hall, equipment list, photographs of cabinets and bases, whether the cargo may restow, expected sit time, destination, and any buyer packing specification.
