Confirm equipment condition and lift data

The survey records scale, oil, process or test fluids, exposed shafts and flanges, electrical interfaces, dimensions, mass, centre of gravity, base and saddle geometry, and approved lifting and restraint points. The equipment owner documents cleaning, drainage, isolation and transport release before the Visakhapatnam pack is closed.

Long fabricated items, rotating equipment, vessels, motors and panels are assessed separately. Supports use verified structural locations and carrier inputs. Moving elements and internal components are secured only in approved transport positions.

Define plant, terminal and marine exposure

The confirmed road leg, container or breakbulk format, terminal handling, outdoor storage and receiving constraints determine package divisions, lifting access and inspection points. Extra lifts or berth dwell are included only when documented in the carrier or project plan.

VCI, barrier film and desiccant are selected from actual condition, exposure, duration and compatibility; marine protection is not automatic. For international shipments using regulated solid-wood packaging, treatment and marking follow the destination's applicable ISPM-15 requirements. Processed wood may be exempt, subject to destination rules and customer specification.
