BENZPACK BE DRY ULTRA® desiccant bags are developed for the automobile and engineering industry to protect goods from moisture during transit and storage. Based on calcium chloride and silica alumina clay, they adsorb more than 200% of their own weight (at 40°C / 95% RH), keeping relative humidity below the critical dew point and protecting ferrous and non-ferrous products from rust and container rain.

BE DRY ULTRA® desiccant bags are specifically developed for the automobile and engineering industry to protect goods from moisture damage during transit and storage. The calcium chloride desiccant bags adsorb large amounts of moisture to protect goods in boxes, and ferrous and non-ferrous products from rusting, by reducing the relative humidity and keeping it below the critical dew point.

BE DRY ULTRA® contains a specially developed moisture adsorbent (calcium chloride and silica alumina clays) that adsorbs more than 200% of its own weight at 40°C / 95% RH and encloses the moisture. This highly efficient protection also works against container rain, which occurs due to condensation in large steel containers from temperature and climate changes during long sea transport. Protection against such changing conditions is equally important to prevent damage during transport by truck or train and during long-term storage.

The Product

BE DRY ULTRA® desiccant bags are designed to last over longer periods of time. They are capable of adsorbing humidity over the course of 45 days and beyond, protecting transported goods against moisture-related damage. BE DRY ULTRA® bags and desiccant are suitable for contact with metal.

The Drying Agent

Prepared using high quality calcium chloride and silica alumina clays, BE DRY ULTRA® draws in condensate air through a special breathable membrane. The active molecules in the BE DRY ULTRA® mixture trigger a chemical reaction that transforms the condensate, and the gradient substance delivers adsorption capacities in excess of 200% and converts into a hard gel without changing into water, permanently trapping the moisture.

Product Composition

- Calcium Chloride: 80 to 85%

- Silica Clay Mineral: 15 to 20%

- Binder Gels: 8 to 10%

100% DMF and PCP free. Does not contain any restricted chemical. RoHS compliant. Harmless moisture adsorbent. The bags are made of Tyvek (DuPont, USA), a material with outstanding resistant properties; the laminate offers excellent packing strength and is wear resistant and lint-free.

Usage

Store in a very dry area and do not expose to open air. Do not leave the sachets in open air during and after use. Cartons or poly bags containing sachets should not be re-packed tightly after use. BE DRY ULTRA® does not cause any problem to humans or the environment, and the calcium chloride and gelling agent are non-toxic. Refer to the MSDS and local regulations for disposal. Wear protective gloves while handling and using for extra protection.

How Container Rain Forms and How BEDRY™ Stops It

A sealed shipping container loaded with hygroscopic materials contains moisture-laden air at packing time. During transit, daytime solar loading evaporates moisture from packing materials. At night or in cooler currents, container walls cool below the dew point. Condensation forms on the ceiling and walls and rains down onto the cargo.

BEDRY™ pulls water vapour continuously from the container air before humidity reaches the dew point, preventing condensation from forming on container surfaces entirely.

Optimal placement: pole-mount units at both ends and the midpoint of the container, attached to ceiling anchor points. Do not place on the container floor. Install immediately before sealing, not more than 30 minutes before loading.
