1. Survey. Mass, metal list, plating, hold days, terminal dwell assumption, ocean weeks, destination storage, wood rules, on-site access, ESD rules if any. 2. Method design. Free volume, barrier, desiccant product class, structure type, immobilisation, lift plan. 3. Materials. Grade-matched VCI, desiccant class, barrier, marked solid wood packaging material where required. 4. Execute. Clean gate, seal, crate, marks, securing interface. 5. Document. Packing list, method note, photos, SDS and wood evidence as required.
Used equipment hardens the clean gate and photo baseline: used machinery export packing. Spare kits fail first on open free volume and kit identity: spare parts export packing. Project and ODC moves raise weather and securing: project cargo, ODC packing, flat-rack packing.
