Industrial sustainability pathways for right-sized corrugated, wooden export packaging, returnable systems, VCI, desiccants and EPR-aware material choices.
Packaging choices focused on right-sizing, material reduction, route-aware protection and lower avoidable waste while preserving product performance.
Waste Smart signifies that the initial stride toward a circular economy that entails the elimination of waste through innovative design, enabling materials to enjoy multiple lifecycles.
Paper-based packaging routes including corrugated, honeycomb, paper cushioning and responsible sourcing discussions where product-specific evidence supports the claim.
A six-axis robot's accuracy comes from encoders at every joint referenced to a calibrated zero position, and a servo brake alone does not guarantee that position survives a shock, an unbraced joint can creep under repeated vibration over a long transit and come out of the crate needing a full re-teach of every welding program. BENZ braces every axis mechanically, not just electronically, before the arm ever moves.
Servo brakes hold the arm in place. They don't guarantee it stays calibrated.
An industrial robot's welding, cutting or handling accuracy depends on every joint's encoder agreeing with a calibrated zero reference set at commissioning. The robot's own servo brakes hold each axis when powered down, but they are not built to absorb repeated road and sea shock over weeks of transit, and a joint that creeps even slightly can throw off the whole taught program, not something that is visible on inspection, only when the robot restarts and its weld path is wrong. The arm also needs to travel in a specific folded, low-centre-of-gravity posture, not however it happened to be left at shutdown.
Around the arm sit equally fragile items that get overlooked: the teach pendant is a handheld touchscreen computer that has to be protected and secured separately, not left loose in the controller cabinet, and welding equipment itself carries its own wear parts, torches, contact tips, wire-feed rollers and positioner fixtures, that need individual protection the same way cutting tooling does on other machines. BENZ folds and mechanically braces every axis to its travel posture, protects the teach pendant and controller as sensitive electronics, and cases welding wear parts separately.
The arm is set to its manufacturer-specified transit posture, low centre of gravity, minimal overhang, and every joint is mechanically braced with purpose-built restraints, not left to the servo brakes alone, so no axis can creep under transit vibration.
The teach pendant is wrapped, cushioned and secured to the skid separately from the arm, and the controller's electronics are sealed against moisture with desiccant, since a pendant left loose in transit is one of the most common damage points on a robot shipment.
Welding torches, contact tips, wire-feed rollers and positioner fixtures are individually wrapped and cased, protecting the same class of fine, wear-prone parts that fail if left loose against a heavier casting.
The arm, controller and any positioner are mounted on an engineered skid inside a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate built for crane and forklift handling.

Welding equipment and industrial robots are one of 35+ machine types we pack, from CNC machining centres and presses to complete production lines.
We fold the arm to its manufacturer-specified transit posture and mechanically brace every axis with purpose-built restraints, protect the teach pendant and controller electronics separately, case any welding torches or end-effectors as individual tooling, then mount the arm on an engineered skid inside a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate.
Yes. Servo brakes hold each axis when powered down but are not built to absorb repeated transit shock, and a joint that creeps even slightly can throw off the taught program. We mechanically brace every axis specifically to prevent this, not rely on the brakes alone.
The teach pendant is wrapped, cushioned and secured to the skid separately from the arm and controller, since a pendant left loose in the cabinet is one of the most common damage points on a robot shipment.
Yes. Welding torches, contact tips, wire-feed rollers and positioner fixtures are individually wrapped and cased so they cannot be damaged by contact with heavier machine components.
Yes. A BENZ team comes to your plant with tooling and lifting equipment and packs the equipment on your floor, including axis bracing and pendant protection.
Yes. All solid-wood crating and skidding is heat-treated and ISPM-15 stamped, with the treatment certificate supplied for customs clearance without quarantine or fumigation.
Send the equipment details or book an on-site survey. We protect the calibration, not just the casting.
