In this belt, the wrong desiccant can contaminate, dust, react, shed, leak or fail before the cargo reaches the buyer. That is why BENZ starts with product compatibility, liner structure, powder sensitivity, humidity exposure and destination conditions before recommending silica gel, C DRY or calcium chloride container units.

For sea export, the container layer is separate. A dry inner liner does not prevent roof condensation from wetting cartons and labels; calcium chloride container desiccants are sized for that outer risk.
