Dry Inland Packing Does Not Remove Export Moisture Risk
Rajasthan cargo may be packed in dry air, but export shipments still pass through ICDs, warehouses, ports and sea routes where humidity enters the logistics chain. The Government of Rajasthan's Economic Review 2024-25 identifies engineering goods, gems and jewellery, metals, textiles and handicrafts as the state's five leading export categories, together accounting for more than 65% of exports. These cargoes face different moisture failures: textiles and handicrafts can mould or warp, presentation packs can stain or weaken, and engineering or electronics cargo can corrode or fail dry-pack checks.
BENZ specifies a pack-level desiccant where the product needs it and container desiccants where the route creates bulk humidity.
