Port Klang Needs Desiccants Sized for Continuous Tropical Moisture, Not Occasional Dampness
In Malaysia, moisture damage is not a seasonal exception. Containers are packed, trucked, staged, transshipped and reloaded in warm humid air. Rubber, paperboard, wood, food powders, textiles, electronics cartons and mixed consolidated cargo absorb moisture before the vessel sails; once the container is sealed, that moisture becomes the source of container rain, mould, carton collapse, corrosion and label damage.
A generic absorption percentage is not enough for Port Klang cargo. BENZ starts with the actual shipment: whether the cargo is hygroscopic, whether it is stuffed in a warehouse or port-adjacent CFS, whether it is travelling LCL or FCL, whether it will dwell at Singapore, the Middle East or Europe, and whether the buyer needs food, pharma, electronics or chemical documentation.
