The challenge

A line of many stations, and every station has its own fragile parts.

A filling, capping and labelling line's stainless steel product-contact surfaces cannot be protected with a standard oil-based rust preventive, that surface has to stay clean enough for food or pharmaceutical product to touch it on day one at destination, so the preservation has to be food-grade and easy to fully remove on commissioning, not just corrosion-effective. At the same time, every station carries its own exposed, precision parts: photoelectric sensors that align caps and labels to fractions of a millimetre, star wheels that space bottles through the line, and neck guides and format parts sized to the exact bottle or container the customer runs.

The real risk at reassembly is not damage, it is confusion: a line changeover kit can run to dozens of format parts across several stations, and if they arrive unmarked or mixed between crates, the customer's own commissioning team loses days matching parts to positions before the line can run a single bottle. BENZ protects the food-contact surfaces to the right standard, cases sensors and star wheels as fragile items, and catalogues every format and change part to its station and product size before anything is crated.

Every station and every format part accounted for

Preserve product-contact surfaces to a food-grade standard

Stainless product-contact surfaces are cleaned and protected with a food-safe corrosion inhibitor rather than a general-purpose oil-based rust preventive, so they are safe and simple to wipe down and commission on arrival.

Case sensors, star wheels and change parts

Photoelectric sensors, star wheels, neck guides and other fine, exposed parts are removed where practical and individually foam-cased, and every format or change-part set is tagged to the station and product size it belongs to.

Lock conveyors and protect drive components

Conveyor sections, timing screws and drive motors are secured against shift, and gearboxes and bearings are VCI protected to MIL-PRF-3420H.

Skid, crate and document by station

Each major station, or the full monobloc where the line ships assembled, is mounted on an engineered skid inside a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate, with a documented parts list so commissioning at destination starts from a known inventory.

How do you pack a bottling or filling line for export?

We preserve stainless product-contact surfaces with a food-grade corrosion inhibitor, case sensors, star wheels and format parts as separate protected items tagged to their station, secure conveyors and drives, then mount each station or the assembled monobloc on an engineered skid inside a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate with a documented parts list.

Can you use standard rust preventive on food-contact surfaces?

No, and we do not. Product-contact surfaces get a food-safe corrosion inhibitor rather than a general oil-based rust preventive, so they are safe and simple to wipe down and commission without a chemical residue concern.

How do you keep format and change parts organised across a multi-station line?

Every format part, neck guide and change-part set is tagged to the station and product size it belongs to and documented in a parts list before packing, so the customer's commissioning team is not left matching unmarked parts to positions.

Do you protect the sensors and star wheels on filling and labelling lines?

Yes. Photoelectric sensors, star wheels and applicator heads are removed where practical and individually foam-cased, since these are fine, exposed parts set to tight alignment tolerances that a knock can throw off.

Do you pack bottling lines on site at our factory?

Yes. A BENZ team comes to your plant with tooling and lifting equipment and packs the line station by station on your floor.

Are your packaging and bottling machinery crates ISPM-15 compliant?

Yes. All solid-wood crating and skidding is heat-treated and ISPM-15 stamped, with the treatment certificate supplied for customs clearance without quarantine or fumigation.
