Common questions
Practical answers for packaging engineers and buyers preparing a custom-size enquiry.
What can you manufacture in this range?Custom 3D bags and oversized PE bags, pallet covers, shrink and stretch hoods, machinery and equipment covers, box and crate liners, multimetal VCI 3D bags, barrier film 3D bags, and dry bulk container liners. Each is made to the dimensions of the packed load or container.
What film thickness can you supply?BENZ can supply film constructions from 25 to 300 microns, with thickness selected according to the packed product, geometry, weight and handling conditions, puncture or tear risk, exposure conditions, film construction and closure method.
Is there a maximum bag or cover size? There is no fixed catalogue-size limit. We manufacture made-to-order bags and covers beyond standard catalogue dimensions. Oversized and non-standard requirements are engineered according to the packed envelope, material and fabrication method.
How do I choose between a 3D bag, pallet cover, hood or liner?Start with the object. An irregular part or machine usually needs a form-fit 3D bag or machinery cover. A palletized stack usually needs a pallet cover, or a shrink or stretch hood if you unitize on the line. A box or crate interior needs a liner. Dry bulk in a shipping container needs a container liner. Corrosion-sensitive metal in an enclosed pack usually needs VCI film; moisture-sensitive equipment in a sealed pack usually needs barrier film.
What options can be specified?Polyethylene (PE) and polythene covers for general protection; multimetal VCI film for enclosed corrosion-protection applications; barrier film for enhanced moisture-barrier protection in a sealed pack. UV stabilization, anti-static film and print when the construction allows. Food-contact grades only when that exact build is documented for the enquiry.
What should I send for a useful quote?Maximum packed length, width and height; what you are packing; protection needed (dust, handling, corrosion protection or moisture-barrier protection); preferred film if known; thickness in microns if known; quantity; storage vs inland vs export. Photos or a drawing help irregular shapes. For container liners, add container size, cargo type, filling method and discharge method.
