Industrial sustainability pathways for right-sized corrugated, wooden export packaging, returnable systems, VCI, desiccants and EPR-aware material choices.
Packaging choices focused on right-sizing, material reduction, route-aware protection and lower avoidable waste while preserving product performance.
Waste Smart signifies that the initial stride toward a circular economy that entails the elimination of waste through innovative design, enabling materials to enjoy multiple lifecycles.
Paper-based packaging routes including corrugated, honeycomb, paper cushioning and responsible sourcing discussions where product-specific evidence supports the claim.
A switchboard does not have to be dropped to fail. Laid on its back for a road leg, or left to sweat inside a sealed container, a panel can arrive with its door sprung, its busbars pitted with corrosion, and its relays reading a fault the moment it is energised, with no visible sign of damage from outside the crate. BENZ packs switchgear and panels upright, sealed, and humidity-controlled, exactly as the equipment is built to be handled.
Orientation and moisture do more damage than the road ever does.
Switchgear and electrical panels are built to stand vertically, with breakers, relays and instrumentation mounted and calibrated for that orientation. Laid flat for a road leg or tipped during a lift, the door can spring against its own hinges, internal wiring looms can pull at their glands, and components never designed to bear their own weight sideways can shift enough to throw calibration off without a mark to show for it. The equipment arrives looking untouched and fails on first energisation.
Moisture is the second failure path, and it is often invisible until it is too late. A sealed container crossing a long sea voyage cycles through condensation events daily, and bare copper busbars and contact surfaces left unprotected inside a panel corrode and pit under that cycling, degrading the very conductive paths the switchgear exists to control. Relays, PLCs and drives mounted inside the panel add a third risk: these are ESD-sensitive components that can be degraded by an ungrounded lift or an unprotected transit long before any visible fault shows up. BENZ braces every panel for its true orientation, protects busbars and contact surfaces with VCI, and handles ESD-sensitive internals correctly from the first touch.
The panel is braced and secured to ship in its built, vertical orientation inside the crate, with internal bracing across the door and frame so hinges, wiring looms and glands carry no load they were not designed for.
Exposed copper busbars, breaker contacts and terminal surfaces are treated with VCI vapour-phase corrosion inhibition to MIL-PRF-3420H, so conductive paths stay clean and pit-free through condensation cycling on long voyages.
Relays, PLCs, drives and instrumentation mounted inside the panel are handled with grounded, ESD-safe procedure from first touch, and sensitive modules are additionally bagged where the equipment calls for it.
The enclosure is sealed against moisture ingress with desiccant sized to the internal air volume, doors and IP-rated seals are protected from crush and impact, and the unit is mounted in a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate built to keep it upright in transit and on the ground at destination.

Switchgear and electrical panels are one of 35+ machine types we pack, from CNC machining centres and pumps to complete production lines.
We brace the panel to ship upright in its built orientation, protect busbars and contact surfaces with VCI, handle internal relays, PLCs and drives with grounded ESD-safe procedure, seal the enclosure with sized desiccant, protect doors and IP-rated seals from crush, and crate it in a heat-treated ISPM-15 crate built to keep it standing.

Yes. A sealed container crossing a long sea voyage cycles through daily condensation, and unprotected copper busbars and contact surfaces pit and corrode under that cycling. VCI vapour-phase protection stops this without needing to physically coat every surface by hand.
Yes. Relays, PLCs, drives and other ESD-sensitive internals are handled with grounded, static-safe procedure from first touch, with sensitive modules additionally bagged where the equipment specification calls for it.
Yes. A BENZ team comes to your plant with tooling and lifting equipment and packs the panel on your floor in its correct upright orientation.
Yes. All solid-wood crating and skidding is heat-treated and ISPM-15 stamped, with the treatment certificate supplied for customs clearance without quarantine or fumigation.
Send the panel details or book an on-site survey. We protect the busbars and relays, not just the enclosure.
