What BENZ VCI Paper Is

BENZ VCI paper is kraft paper impregnated on both sides with volatile corrosion inhibitors. Inside a closed pack the vapor settles on exposed metal, including threads and recesses. Parts unwrap dry. The chemistry is nitrite-free and amine-free. Multi-metal grades cover steel, cast iron, aluminium, copper and brass in one carton when that grade is specified.

Paper interleaves and wraps close to metal. VCI film closes a larger enclosure. Desiccants take free moisture out of sealed air. Duration, humidity and residual coolant decide the stack. Ask for the current SDS, OEM documents and test sheets that apply to the SKU. This directory is not those documents.

Choose a Format With Four Inputs

1. Metal mix
List carbon steel, cast iron, stainless, aluminium, copper, brass, zinc and plated faces. Mixed packs need a multi-metal, nitrite-free grade.
2. Geometry
Flat blanks and gears take plain interleave. Irregular castings take crepe. Sharp or heavy parts take HD reinforced paper as a crate liner.
3. Climate
Short dry indoor cycles may use plain paper. Coastal, monsoon, estuary or long shed dwell usually needs laminated paper plus a closed outer pack.
4. Route
A plant store, a port shed and an ocean container are different exposures. Ask for the current lead time. Do not treat a published hour figure as a promise.

What is VCI paper used for?

It wraps or interleaves clean metal inside a closed pack. Typical parts include stampings, gears, bearings, valves, castings and machine spares.

How do I choose between the four formats?

Use plain paper for interleaving, crepe for irregular geometry, laminated paper for higher humidity and HD reinforced paper for heavy or sharp parts. Confirm the metal mix first.
