benz packaging solutions
BE DRY® by BENZPACK™ is a magnesium chloride desiccant that stops condensation inside sealed units such as automotive lamps, electronic enclosures, metal-part cartons and food or pharma packs. It adsorbs more than 140% of its own weight at 40°C / 95% RH, at up to 4 times the rate of silica gel, and turns the water into a leak-proof solid that does not release moisture back even at high temperature.

BE DRY® is a high-absorption magnesium chloride desiccant that goes inside the pack, the lamp housing or the enclosure and keeps the air around your product dry. It pulls water vapour out of the trapped air before it can condense, then binds that water into a solid it will not give back, even when the pack heats up. The result is no fogging inside lamps, no flash rust on metal, no mould on food, and no moisture defects on electronics or pharma.

BE DRY® belongs to the same family of desiccants that vehicle makers seal inside headlamps to stop internal fogging, because magnesium chloride does that job better than a general-purpose sachet. It keeps absorbing when humidity is high, and unlike silica gel it does not release the moisture back into the pack when the temperature climbs. One BE DRY® sachet holds more than 140% of its own weight in water at 40°C and 95% RH, which is up to four times what the same weight of silica gel can hold.

How BE DRY® works

Condensate-laden air passes through the breathable Tyvek® membrane. Inside, the magnesium chloride and alumino-silicate clay draw the moisture in and convert it into a hard, dry solid instead of a wet gel or a running brine. There is no free liquid to leak, so a saturated sachet stays clean and safe to handle. The absorption is driven by the humidity difference between the salt and the surrounding air, so BE DRY® works hardest exactly when humidity is highest.

Where to use BE DRY®

Automotive lamps and lighting: stops headlamp, tail-lamp and fog-lamp condensation through hot and cold cycles.

Electronics and precision equipment: keeps PCBs, sensors, optics and control units dry inside sealed housings.

Metal and plastic parts: prevents flash rust and surface oxidation in transit and storage.

Food packaging: holds humidity down in dried and moisture-sensitive foods.

Pharmaceuticals and FMCG: protects tablets, nutraceuticals, diagnostics and consumer goods from moisture damage.

Export shipments: guards goods on long road, rail and sea journeys and in warehousing.

Why buyers choose BE DRY® over silica gel

It holds more than 140% of its weight, against about 25% to 30% for silica gel.

It absorbs up to four times faster.

It keeps moisture locked in when hot, while silica gel gives it back.

It sets into a solid, not a gel or a liquid, so it never drips.

It is non-toxic, DMF free, PCP free, RoHS compliant and made to ISO 9001:2015.

Composition

Magnesium chloride, alumino-silicate clay and an additive, sealed in a heavy-duty waterproof Tyvek® non-woven bag that is strong, wear resistant and lint free. It is 100% DMF and PCP free and contains no restricted chemicals.

How to use and store

Keep BE DRY® in a dry place and away from open air until you use it. Do not leave sachets exposed during or after use, and do not re-pack cartons or poly bags tightly once opened. BE DRY® is safe for people and the environment, and the magnesium chloride and gelling agent are non-toxic. Follow the MSDS and local rules for disposal, and wear gloves when handling for extra care.

Q: What is BE DRY desiccant?

BE DRY is a high-absorption magnesium chloride desiccant that goes inside a sealed unit, such as an automotive lamp, an electronic enclosure or a food or pharma pack, and removes moisture from the trapped air. It adsorbs more than 140% of its own weight and locks the water into a solid that does not release it back.

Q: What is BE DRY made of?

Magnesium chloride combined with alumino-silicate clay and an additive, sealed in a waterproof Tyvek non-woven bag. It is DMF free, PCP free, RoHS compliant and non-toxic.

Q: How much moisture can BE DRY absorb?

More than 140% of its own weight at 40°C and 95% RH until equilibrium, which is up to four times the rate of traditional silica gel.

Q: Does BE DRY leak or release moisture when it gets hot?

No. It turns absorbed moisture into a hard solid, and unlike silica gel it does not release that moisture back even at the high temperatures inside a running lamp or a hot container.

Q: Can BE DRY be used inside automotive headlamps?

Yes. BE DRY uses the same magnesium chloride adsorbent technology used to stop condensation inside vehicle headlamps, tail-lamps and fog-lamps.

Q: What sizes does BE DRY come in?

0.5 g, 1 g, 1.5 g, 2 g, 5 g, 10 g, 15 g, 20 g, 25 g and 30 g sachets, with custom sizes for bulk orders.

Q: What is the difference between BE DRY and BE DRY ULTRA?

BE DRY is a magnesium chloride in-pack and lamp sachet that absorbs more than 140%. BE DRY ULTRA is a calcium chloride shipping-container desiccant that absorbs up to 300% for ocean-freight container rain.
